Hell Is Empty All The Devils Are Here

There are many pieces of this intricate puzzle that is Dr Julia Burdge as she was and is a very complex person. She was the most brilliant mind I had ever known when we first met at Iowa State University when she was on the verge of being expelled. Our oldest son William now dwarfs her in his intellectual ability and in the coming years will make her look like a simpleton in comparison. Julia Burdge had the potential to be one of the great leaders of her time in the field of Chemistry but she forgot who she was and where she came from. She chose the more glamorous road of wealth and power and had to be the life of the party. I think she also suffered from a hidden drive to be the best in achievements in the eyes of her father Neil Bancroft and to a lessor extent the people she grew up around. Her husband (me) and her three children were just tools she needed to get her to that place of notoriety and affluence she desperately wanted in order to complete her life as she saw it. I tried to warn her and stop her but even I did not understand the complex nature of her personality. She will in the end destroy herself and probably our daughter and youngest son Sam in the process. Julia Burdge is mentally ill from clinical depression she has suffered with her entire life and she is going through menopause which drastically compounds her sickness. She is also probably drinking heavily again which brings out more of the problems.

She told me again the last time we spoke in private in November of 2006 on the Island of Malta that “it was all my fault for making it possible for her to get her PhD in chemistry and become a professor and text book author.” She was right, for if I had stopped her after her bachelors degree, which would have been easy to do then, I think history for us and our children would have been much better. I will always love that girl I picked up at the airport the night I asked her to marry me but I know that she died many years ago when she became Dr. Burdge. There is no happy ending in this, only a trail of destruction and madness. There is a lesson to learn from it which William has learned well. That lesson is, if you forget who you are, where you came from, and those who helped you will allow history to repeat itself all over again. Beau has the most brilliant mind and purest soul I have ever known so I would like to believe that he is the reason for all the suffering and loss of others in my life time. I hope he will be the one that makes the big difference in the world that I had originally thought would be his mother.

I just got an email notice from amazon.com that Julia Burdge's book "Chemistry" published by McGraw-Hill publishing has finally come out at the cost of $229.75 per hard cover book. I checked McGraw-Hill's own site and found it also listed for $177.25 for the presumed whole sale price. As I review this web site for final publication, the world economy is crashing with the United States leading the way. Banks are falling like rows of dominoes, too numerous for the Federal Government to keep up with. Before leaving with my two sons for Europe in June of 2006, I sat down with Julia and told her a story about what was about to happen in the US and world economies and the affect it would have on the prospect for her book. Her book is well-written with innovative style but it will not be spared. I tried to explain to her what it was like in the 1973-75 recession after the Vietnam War when I got out of the military and what it was like during the Great Depression in my father's time and what it would be like for her and her new book in the Greatest Depression in history, that her book would be going to market in. I tried to tell her what she needed to do to survive. Even though she was dumping me for this book and her new life style, I still loved and cared for her.

The long term collapse of the world economies will make her book a financial failure for many years for McGraw-Hill Publishing and for her, not for lack of quality of the book but for the timing of it's publishing. There are too many other good college text books like the one she was co-author on for Prentice Hall Publishing that are selling for far less and there are plenty of used volumes available to universities and colleges world wide. During hard economic times, people stick to what is tried and proven that can be bought at the lowest price and that is not her book. It is the first edition of the book, which, regardless of who the writer or publisher is, will be viewed as suspicious and approached with extreme caution. This combined with the failing world economies will prevent Dr Julia Burdge from raking in the millions of dollars that would allow her to live the life style she so thought she deserved and what she sacrificed her husband and children for.

I tried to warn Julia when she gave me the kiss off speech in 2005 while we still lived in Port Salerno, Florida, that she would destroy herself and her so called "many friends" would desert her in the end if she took the fork in the road she was taking. I knew her well enough to know that she would destroy herself without me; I was the one that was always there to back her and get her on her feet again and give her the image as a normally-balanced person. Without a man devoted as I was she would not be able to portray the brilliant professor and text book author with the loving family that had it all, the PhD, the book, the loving husband, 3 wonderful children and horses, the dream hobby of her life. She would not be able to hide her other diverse personalities that John Chalice the former publisher of her first book at Prentice Hall Publishing discovered in her and was the cause of her banishment from that book and the company. I was the perfect cover for her personality and a convenient fall guy to blame every thing on that did not suit her.

Out of concern for my sons' long term safety and happiness, I was willing to let the past go for them. I made the offer stated earlier to have her go in peace with her book and make as much money as she wished with my blessing. She ignored my offer as she did when I told her she would destroy all possibilities of a relationship with her sons if she continued with the Hague Convention Petition. I also told her that if she failed to heed my warnings and leave me and my sons in peace I would have no choice but to tell the world about her diverse personality that I kept hidden. This would be made public during the rapidly crumbling United States and world economies and would bring her career crashing down along with all her dreams of wealth.

This is happening as I finish the writing for this website. Just look at the pathetic introduction given for her book on McGraw-Hill's site. The intro is the most lame excuse for a book that has such potential and I know because I was there when she wrote the first page and still there when the last page was finished. The text book publishing world is really a small world when it comes to personalities. I told her this many years ago when she first started doing piece work for Prentice Hall Publishing Company. As Julia claimed and rightfully so it's a man's world where women best behave themselves with the proper image. She found this out first hand when she was booted off Prentice Hall's 9th edition that she co-authored and that she single-handedly saved after Ted Brown freaked out due to advanced age and destroyed one of his own chapters. Julia single-handedly re-did the entire chapter for him at the last minute working around the clock to make it to the print date. She was able to do this because of her own ability, but more than that she had me behind her to take care of every thing else to cut her loose for the job. McGraw-Hill Publishing saw her as a valuable prize to snatch away from Prentice Hall Publishing as a tremendous writer. Julia, like William, is a gifted writer. I saw this in her from the beginning in our early years together when others did not.

When William turns 18 this November 29th, 2008, I will disappear to a far land where the ocean is clean the fishing is good and the waves surf able to live out my years. Only William will know where I am at and this website and the others I am writing will tell the stories until my death occurs. The only reference to my location is that I am over the rainbow in Kokomo and, when I eventually die no one is to know. They never cared for me in life so in death the only thing they want is money and they can all go to Hell. I will always remember and love that brilliant girl I kissed on the street corner that late night many years ago and had 3 children by. She knows she was corrupted in her pursuit of fame and fortune but also was the one that steered herself done the narrow alley of life that she felt there was no way out. Julie took her tremendous gifted talents and used them to take herself down the dark path to the dark side. The young woman that wrote the letter to me on our second anniversary is still there but buried very deep under the layers of scares created by clinical depression and greed and avarice. When I do think of her it is in the context of who she was and not the creature she has become. As I write these final lines the US economy is at the door step of the Greatest Depression ever seen. Her book with McGraw-Hill Publishing will not give her the pleasures she sold our family for and this in the end will be her demise. This is an American family story, this is an American story of a once great nation where it's citizens forgot the true meaning of freedom from which the country was created. Julie knew that the policies, laws and moral behavior of our country had turned down the dark path but she like many Americans surrendered to the dark side by following the bright glow of the light held by a corrupt government and forsake in the process that which was the most valuable gift she could possess. Julie like many Americans today are the Eloi's in a submissive trance marching to the sound of the government siren to their end in the domain of the government Morlock's. I told Beau recently that I have finally got it through my thick skull that you can not save people for they have to save themselves, that you can only help after that. I saved Julie in the beginning but created as a result by default a totally different person. Julie will in the end have to come to terms with what she has done and if history is an example she will end up the same way as my mother, alone and living from the hand outs of others.
